From prison, Antonio Gramsci wrote many letters to his wife. In one of them he shares a story for him to read to his children: that of a mouse who drinks the milk from a child's breakfast. The mouse, wanting to undo his transgression, discovers a greater and more terrible one than his: the earth and the mountain have been devastated by men.
This short fable shows how the smallest is connected to the biggest, and how small ones can drive big changes in the world.
