Cecilia Pisos was born in Buenos Aires in 1965. A graduate in Literature from the National University of Buenos Aires, she has taught at various university departments and worked as a researcher at the Argentine Academy of Letters. She is the author of several children's books, both poetry and fiction. Among her titles are: *¿Te cuento otra vez?* (Shall I Tell You Again?), *Como si no hubiera que cruzar el mar* (As If There Weren't to Cross the Sea), and *Un cuento por donde pasa el viento* (A Story Where the Wind Blows) (ALIJA Notable Books Award 2004).
