The first activists, politicians, freethinkers, travelers, artists… were (and still are) labeled rebels or eccentrics. The lives of these transgressors, who faced the difficult task of pushing boundaries and destabilizing power, could represent the first chapter of a cultural history of women with their own names. Undoubtedly, women today owe much more to rebellion than to complacency. The history of transgressions is the history of how one becomes a subject of the social narrative and how the conditions for achieving this are built step by step. Therefore, this essay deals with how to unlearn what has been learned and free oneself from the gazes that objectify. It's about first breaking the symbolic order and then short-circuiting its social transmission. Ultimately, it's about learning the value of transgression.
