Giovanni Boccaccio (1313 - 1375) has a preponderant role within the history of Western literature thanks to its prolific work, which covers from genres for recreational reading to treaties of vast scholarship. A good part of his work dedicated her to the lyric: to the composition of poems of diverse matter, although mostly loving, which shows the personal tastes, influences and tendencies of him.
