The Feminine Way of the Sacred brings together essays, many of them previously unpublished in Spanish, from Helen M. Luke's books *The Way of Woman*, *The Way of Discrimination*, and *The Way of Story*. Each essay offers a gateway to deeper understanding of one's own psyche, the world, and interpersonal relationships, through the analysis of sacred texts such as the Bible and the I Ching from a therapeutic perspective, or by means of symbolic analogies with classic literary works or the Tarot. Some titles include *The Secret and the Open*, *The Mystery Within*, *The Joy of the Fool*, and *The Perennial Feminine*. Helen M. Luke (1904–1995) was a Jungian writer and therapist who dedicated her life to the study of sacred stories, from classical literature to religion and mythology. She clearly and movingly explained how to apply this knowledge to everyday life, especially for women. Luke met Carl G. Jung after reading one of his books and deciding to study analytical psychology. He worked with Robert Johnson, the renowned writer and therapist, and in the 1960s founded Apple Farm Community in rural Michigan. This field, surrounded by trees, offered a retreat close to nature, a place for quiet meditation, study, and exchange with like-minded individuals; or, in his words, a place where "one encounters individuals who breathe fresh air and find their own way." There, he created study groups that produced many of the essays published here, and even nearly four decades after Luke's death, the Apple Farm community continues to operate as a center for Jungian retreats.
