
From his first contributions to the magazine Destino in the second half of the 1970s, Eugenio Trías never stopped writing articles for various media outlets. As Francesc Arroyo states in the prologue to this edition, "Trías was convinced that he could not live apart from his fellow citizens, from their worries, hopes, and fears, because they were also his own."
Eugenio Trías placed great importance on his contributions to the press, as he makes clear when he states in his book Pensar en público (Thinking in Public): "I have compiled the best of these contributions from many years into this anthology. Some of these articles are comparable to the best passages in my books."
