Kappa and gears were written the same year of the death of the author , 1927 ; the first was published in March and the second after his death in October of the same year. Both Kappa as gears were written after the author committed suicide . It is therefore important to take this into account when analyzing the characteristics of these two works , different in style and content , but they reveal the same attitude the writer : take stock of all his life and his literary career before determining a final destruction.
