Yael Frankel is an author and illustrator born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1967.
She has published books in her country, in France, Italy, Spain, China, South Korea, Colombia and Chile. She has been selected to exhibit her work at the Bologna Fair in 2016 and 2017.
Her book At Simple View, edited by Amanuta, Chile, has been selected for the White Raven catalogue, curated by the International Youth Library (IYL) in Munich, Germany. Her book Tell me more has won the award for best book album, awarded by ALIJA IBBY Argentina, in 2017.
His illustrations for the book El ascensor, published by Limonero, Argentina, have won first prize at the Sharjah Children's Literature Festival, United Arab Emirates, in 2019. This same year, the book has been awarded at the International Fair of the Children's Book of Moscow, in the author's book category.
