
She is a tenured professor of General Linguistics at the University of Santiago de Compostela. In parallel, she has developed a literary career as a novelist, playwright, essayist, and poet in Galician. Several of her creative works have been translated into Spanish (Hierba mora, Artes subversivas para cultiva jardines, Ostracia, and Una madre tan punk) as well as other languages. She has won several awards for her work (Galician Narrative Critics' Prize 2005, Álvaro Cunqueiro Prize and María Casares Theatre Prize in 2009, and Ramón Piñeiro Essay Prize in 2005 and 2012). Los Libros de la Catarata has published her book Lingüística se escribe con A. La perspectiva de género en las ideas sobre el lenguaje (2021).
