Susana Riobó was born in Posadas, Misiones Province, but spent her childhood and adolescence in Buenos Aires, where her father practiced medicine. She graduated as an English teacher and taught at all levels, from preschool to adult education. Her love of writing began in elementary school, where she wrote a magazine and distributed it to her classmates. Her family and five children, as well as trips to other parts of the country, postponed her desire to dedicate herself to writing for a while. With the arrival of her grandchildren and a different pace of life, Susana unleashed her imagination and wrote her first children's story, "Rogelito the Alfajor," published in cloth. This was followed by "A Picnic on Saturn," published by Del Naranjo.
Since last year, she has been a volunteer facilitator at the "Waiting for Pure Stories" library at the Ricardo Gutiérrez Children's Hospital. For her, play and its importance in childhood are the foundation of a healthy and fulfilling development that will have positive repercussions in adulthood. Stories are the vehicle for creating that unique and magical space that everyone, in one way or another, seeks.
