Sol Silvestre holds a degree in Literature. As a specialist in children's and young adult literature, she collaborates with various educational publishers (in Argentina, Spain, and the USA), developing teaching materials for all levels of education. She has published more than thirty books for children and young adults and has received several awards, including two ALIJA awards (Argentine Association of Children's and Young Adult Literature, the national section of IBBY) for her book *El gigante de Balvanera* (Outstanding Children's and Young Adult Literature in 2015, Readers' Favorite in 2018).
