
Sarah Anderson founded the Travel Bookshop in London in 1979, which later appeared in the film Notting Hill. She studied Chinese at SOAS University College in London and at Heythrop, where she earned a master's degree in the psychology of religion. She has taught travel writing at City University, regularly writes travel articles and reviews books, and gives talks around the world. She is the author of Heaven's Face Thinly Veiled.
