Lucía Solla Sobral (Marín, 1989) is a Galician writer. Her first novel, Comerás flores (2025), won the 2025 El Ojo Crítico Narrative Prize.
While studying Philosophy, she wrote poetry and short pieces until the idea for what would later become her first novel emerged. Since 2016, she has worked in marketing.
She created and coordinated the Club de las Letras Salvajes (Wild Letters Club) in Oviedo, her home city. In 2023, she was selected for the Literary Residency at the City of Culture of Santiago de Compostela, directed by the novelist Javier Peña. She has attended writing workshops, such as the one led by Marta Jiménez Serrano.
In 2025, she published Comerás flores, a story of abuse and the invisible violence in a relationship where the man is 20 years older, which dismantles the myths of romantic love. It is written in the first person.
Thanks to this work, she won the 2025 El Ojo Crítico Prize in the Narrative category, awarded annually by the eponymous cultural program on Radio Nacional de España. The jury, which included Luis Mateo Díez, Manuel Rivas, Paco Cerdà, and Ángeles Caso, among others, highlighted that Comerás flores showcases "a skilled, original, and mature storyteller."
