Lu Xun (traditional Chinese: 魯迅, simplified Chinese: 鲁迅, pinyin: Lǔ Xùn, Wade-Giles: Lu Hsün) (Shaoxing, September 25, 1881 – Shanghai, October 19, 1936) was a Chinese writer. A leading figure of the May Fourth Movement, he is considered the father of modern Chinese literature.
