Liora Stavchansky

Liora Stavchansky is a psychoanalyst from Mexico City. Her professional practice is divided between psychoanalytic clinical work, teaching, and leading seminars and courses on psychoanalysis, childhood, and children's literature.
She teaches at the Universidad Iberoamericana, the Colegio de Psicoanálisis Lacaniano, and other universities. She was a member of the Lacanian Analytic Network and is currently a member of the Escuela de la Letra Psicoanalítica ESLEP (School of Psychoanalytic Literature).
She has presented lectures, courses, and workshops throughout Mexico, as well as in the USA, Great Britain, Spain, France, Argentina, Costa Rica, and Canada, among other countries. She has published articles in various specialized journals and books in Mexico and internationally, highlighting her interest in connecting literature, education, and psychoanalysis with the clinical approaches of Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan.

Published books: “Weaving the Clinic: Between the Child and the Other” (Paradiso Publishers, third edition 2014). This book will be published in English in 2017 by KARNAC. “Between Fairies and Elves: Childhood, Psychoanalysis, and Writing,” “Borders of Childhood” (Letra Viva Publishers), “Children and Children’s Literature” (Letra Viva Publishers), “Reinventing Psychoanalysis” (Letra Viva Publishers), “Autism and the Body” (Paradiso Publishers). “Childhoods: Between Spectra and Disorders,” written with Gisela Untoiglich, will be published by Paradiso Publishers in 2017.
