Laura Inter holds a law degree and is an activist for the human rights of intersex people. In 2013, she founded Brújula Intersexual (Intersex Compass), a collective based in Mexico that works with intersex individuals, activists, and communities in other Latin American countries and Spain. Brújula Intersexual's mission is to build community and disseminate information about intersexuality. Currently, Laura coordinates Brújula Intersexual, where she leads various support groups for intersex people and their families. She also collaborates with Mexican government institutions to develop public policy on intersexuality, in accordance with human rights recommendations.
