Jamieson Webster lives in New York, where she practices as a clinical psychoanalyst and teaches at The New School of Social Research. She also contributes articles and reviews to magazines such as the New York Review of Books, Artforum, Spike Art Magazine, and Apology. Before her successful essay On Breathing, she published several books: Disorganization & Sex, Conversion Disorder: Listening to the Body in Psychoanalysis, and Stay, Illusion! The Hamlet Doctrine (the latter in collaboration with philosopher Simon Critchley).
