Gerardo del Olmo (Mexico, 1958 – 2018) Artist, nature photographer and writer. Self-taught, sensitive to everything related to nature, especially birds. Among his publications are: Common Birds of Mexico City; Beginner's Manual in Birdwatching; Birding; Larks and Their Relatives; Birds in Danger; Quick Guide to Common Birds of Mexico City; Quick Guide to Aquatic Birds of the Valley of Mexico; Birds of the Jaguaroundi Ecological Park; Guide to Diurnal Birds of Prey in Mexico. In addition, he founded the publishing label Bruja de monte (Bruja de monte) with his wife (2002) to disseminate the great treasure of birds that Mexico has to offer, joining Natural Books and Ecoval editions since 2023 to continue publishing.
