
CECILIA BARÓN was born in Monterrey, Mexico. She is a poet and performer. She has published the following books: Soy fina pero no se me nota (I'm Fine But It's Not Noticeable), co-published by CONARTE and Tresnubes Ediciones. 2020; Amor a mí (Love to Me), co-published by UANL and Tresnubes Ediciones. 2020, whose title was considered among the 10 best Mexican poetry books of 2020 by Milenio Cultura. Her poems have been published in anthologies, magazines, websites, and cultural journals in Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Mexico. In 2022, she was awarded the César Vallejo Prize for artistic excellence by the Unión Hispanomundial de Escritores (UHE) in Santiago, Chile. In 2019, she received the Co-editions Scholarship; in 2018, the PACMyC Incentive; and in 2004, the Foneca Scholarship from Conarte in Monterrey. He has performed poetry out loud, including music composed and performed live for each poem and video projections, in museums, cultural centers, social rehabilitation centers and prisons, book fairs, bars, cantinas, and virtually on all platforms. He has participated in international poetry festivals, both in person and online. He teaches national and international poetry workshops on sexual themes and philosophical humor, utilizing language play, imagination, and uncensored humor.
