To confront the problem of the school in a radical way means to face it simultaneously from two points of view: that of values - and, therefore, of the contents - and that of the technique of instruction. The collection of articles by the well-known Soviet psychologists that we present, in direct controversy with the American behavioral theory techniques, is a sample not only of a rigorous scientific spirit, but also of a determined humanistic will and commitment, in a sense that fits badly with the traditional pedagogies forging heroes for commercial competition.
