In the world there is a process of destruction of the public university, parallel to the destruction of the middle classes. Scientific research is already clearly post-academic and serves the interests of large industries. The value of education as an instrument of civic formation and as a means of social promotion is increasingly questioned and is intended to recover the elitist sense of higher education. In Spain, universities intend to stay out of the economic crisis and social conflicts, their professors live in a bubble in which the legal order of these institutions is being undermined thanks to the genesis of a parallel power. A power in which groups of professors, public and private agencies, banks and some company, protected by political power, have created systems of fundraising, provision of places and creation of centers in which those who master the art of machining Academic are consolidated as privileged groups. If we add to this the legitimacy crisis of the academic authority, we observe a panorama in which the members of the Spanish universities contemplate, passive and inert, a predictable process of brutal reconversion of which they will only be aware once they have radically transformed paradise artificial in which they now live.
