Osip Mandelstam visited Armenia between May and October 1930. The trip was extremely fruitful him, for there he returned to writing with verve after a period of drought. Armenia led to the creation of a series of works, both prose and verse, maintaining a unity of conception and momentum that supports its presentation today in one volume. The reader will find eight prose texts gathered under the title "Journey to Armenia" and the poetic cycle composed of twelve poems grouped under the title "Armenia", which is in addition other poems and fragments related topic. Both illuminating introduction by Georgy Kubatián, written for this volume, as the texts of the poet's wife, Nadezhda Mandelstam, help us unravel the ultimate meaning of a work than prose and poetry come together admirably.
