Joaquín Riera Ginestar (Tormos, 1975) has a degree in Geography and History, a diploma in advanced studies (DEA) in the area of geographical knowledge "Human settlements and economic activities", holder of Research Sufficiency for the predoctoral thesis "Spanish workers in the Federal Republic of Germany. A case of economic emigration in Europe. Departure, return and permanence (1960-2010)” and tenured professor of Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate in the specialties of Geography, History and Art. Historian, researcher and writer, his works include a monograph on the phenomenon of the Spanish migratory flow to Europe since 1960 (“Carton suitcases: 50 years of Spanish emigration to Germany”, 2018); a microhistorical essay on the Spanish civil war that questions the myth of the two Spains (“The Civil War and the third Spain”, 2016); two studies on literary sources of primitive Christianity (“The Jesus of History”, 2017 and “The other legacy of Jesus”, 2018); and an essay on epicurean philosophy, happiness and postmodernity (“The art of well living”, 2022).
