Heriberto Frías Alcocer

He was born in Querétaro, Querétaro, in 1870 and died in Tizapán, D.F. in 1925. He directed some political newspapers. Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, consul in Cadiz. He stimulated the revolutionary struggle through his novels and newspaper articles. He collaborated in Debate (in which his first poems appeared), El Demócrata (in which Tomochic appeared in 1892), El Mundo Ilustrado (1896), El Combate (1896-1898), El Imparcial (1897-1899), El Correo de la tarde (1906), La Revista Moderna and others.
