Ernest Bendriss (1964) is a French writer and historian established in Madrid. He studied Philosophy and History at the University of Toulouse le Mirail (now Jean Jaurès University). He is the author of several works of popular history and history of religions, including "Brief history of Islam" (second edition) and "Brief history of Buddhism" (third edition). In Almuzara he has previously published "Brief history of Islamic philosophy". He is also the author of a biography on Joan of Arc ("Joan of Arc. From myth to history") and several works on French medieval history.
