Daniel Aguilar

DANIEL AGUILAR. During his student days, he collaborates in fanzines and magazines, specializing in Japanese cinema. Since 1992 he has lived in Japan, he has collaborated with the Spanish magazines Nosferatu, 2,000 maniacs and Quatermass. In addition to work as a translator and interpreter of Japanese, subtitled films for international film festivals or conferences, he is co-author of the books Fantastic cinema and Japanese horror. 1899-2001, Seijun Suzuki. The desert under the cherry blossoms, Yakuza cinema. In 2013 he published his first solo book Susurros de la otra orilla. Supernatural Japan and, several translations of authors like Osamu Dazai, Kyusaku Yumeno and Edogawa Rampo. He is currently a delegate in Japan of the San Sebastian International Film Festival.
